Iceland – Islândia

April 25, 2017

Some weeks ago I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Iceland for work  (philosophical work). It was an amazing week, surrounded by great Philosophy and a lot of amazing wool.  ‘Touristy’ Reykjavik is mainly composed of shop after shop carrying squishy lopi yarn, gorgeous lopapeysas and sheepskins. Knitting seems to be in the air. Even at conferences, lots of people knit (it’s not the only place where that happens, I’m told, but it was the first time I was at a talk surrounded by clicking needles). Even I finished a sock, sometime between Simone de Beauvoir and contemporary Epistemology.
