Pentear/Combing Border Leiceister

May 29, 2016

E o cinzento é a minha nova cor favorita.🙂

I went to the park to test my combs and brought with me a bag of very special wool. It comes from a ewe called Assumpta in Main. It’s a Border Leicester fleece with tight silky locks. My combs are not the best for this particular wool (they ought to be finer, the fibers are slipping through the teeth a little too much…) but they did a fine job overall. I’ve started to understand some of the difficulties with combing, and also some of its advantages of shinier wool.  And grey is definitely my new favorite color.
